iPhone 4S (5th generation) Summary

The iPhone 4s was released in 2011

One day before the shocking death of the co-founder and longtime Apple boss Steve Jobs, the iPhone 4S was introduced. The users were expecting an iPhone 5, so a lot of people weren’t conviced by the 4S. There weren’t any great innovations and so the “next generation” iPhone seemed more like a little Update to the iPhone 4. But in fact the great innovation weren’t on the technical part of the iPhone, but there was “Siri”. This means, that this time the “S” in the name, weren’t for “speed” but for “siri”.

But of course they also updated some technial parts of the iPhone. The iPhone 4S could now score with a 8 megapixel camera which could record in Full HD (1080p). For the first time Apple installed a dual-core processor (A5), but it still had to work with 512MB RAM.

Special features / innovations of this model:

  • 8 MP camera
  • Dual-core processor
  • 14.4 Mbit / s download
  • SIRI voice control

This “small” update made the users more naturally strained what Apple would consider in the following year , so that they would then hopefully finally pleasantly surprised. You can read our article to find out, whether the iPhone 5 has done it.
