“iPhone SE” Renderings Show How It Might Look
New 3D renderings have surfaced and they show how the brand new “iPhone SE” might look according to what we know so far. Apple’s new 4 inch device that is just around the corner. The name isn’t fully set in stone yet and will first be revealed on the iPhone event around the 21st of March. Designer Martin Hajek created the below images to give us a taste of what is to come, with respect to the adjustments in chassis shape and visual characteristics.
According to the latest rumors, the iPhone SE will probably look like the iPhone 5s and sport slightly more curvy lines and a more rounded front, akin to the later generations. Hajek took all of the prevailing rumors and leaks, then combined what he knew into three distinct visualizations. You can view all of the images on his website.
It is highly likely that Apple will stick to a design that somewhat resembles the iPhone 5s and only slightly adapt the shape. Whether that will leave users with the need to buy new cases and periphery is yet to be seen. Hardware-wise, we are expecting an upgrade to the Apple A9 System-on-Chip (SoC) and the M9 motion co-processor, as well as an NFC chip for the contactless Apple Pay payment service.
In terms of pricing, a rumored range between USD 400 to 500 sounds sensible for customers without a subsidized plan. It might in fact prove a viable alternative to upgraders preferring the smaller form factor and a not-so-hefty price tag, who are currently still running on an iPhone 4S or iPhone 5.
What kind of design do you prefer? Will you be buying one of the smaller devices, perhaps even switch from one of the 4.7 inch or 5.5 inch models? Let us know in the comments section below this article!
