Apple Store App Now Supports 3D Touch
It has been a brief while since Apple introduced 3D Touch with the release of the iPhone 6s in the fall of 2015, now Cupertino is busy updating all of the most-used native apps and add support for the most recent features. The newest change comes to the Apple Store App, which gains support for 3D Touch in terms of peeking, popping and using the shortcut menu. An update to version 3.7 was made available on Thursday. Owners of the most current flagship models can now use the new features, given they update their apps.
Apple Store App updated with 3D Touch
The official Apple Store App has just gotten more powerful: Use deep-presses on the app icon on your Home Screen and access the Quick Action menu as a means of going directly into orders, a store list and accessories as well as the actual shop. As of today, Peek and Pop gestures have been added to the portfolio of features. You can use them within the app itself, while browsing the store. Firmly press an item in the store to bring up a preview, then pop it by pressing harder to go into the full item view.
The new update also makes the Apple Store App available in Russia, Korea and Thailand. These three regions were previously not covered by the app. As explained above, the 3D Touch features are only available to users of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus or newer. As a next step, we would suggest to Apple that the Game Center app should get some love by the internal developers.
