How to get directions faster in Apple Maps
To use one of the new “Maps” app shortcuts, open the application and tap the arrow in the top left corner of the app. This will take you to the “Directions” screen. Then select either Home, Work or Favorites to navigate to the destination of your choice.

You can simply add the corresponding address to your own entry in the “Contacts” app and “Maps” will recognize it as such. The aforementioned buttons will then effectively work as shortcuts to these addresses. Tapping “Home” or “Work” will, naturally, insert the shortcut immediately, while “Favorites” will take you to a list of all of your current favorites.
