How To Create A Public iCloud Photo Album
You may know already, that you can share your photos via iCloud. The iCloud photo sharing requires that you invite every single contact via their email address. Only then they can see your photos. If you want to give a wider audience access to your photos, you can create a public iCloud photo album. In this article you will learn how this works.
Share photo album in iCloud
First you have to share a photo album using iCloud. If you haven’t done this yet, you can get a step-by-step guide here.
If you have done this step already, you can continue with the following step.
Make iCloud photo album public
The next step will make the created iCloud photo album public. Open the Photos app on your iPhone and tap “Shared” at the bottom menu bar. On this display you will find all your iCloud photo albums. Open the photo album that you want to make public.
Inside the album you will see the tabs Photos and People at the bottom. You are currently in the Photos tab. Switch over to People.
Now you are in the details view of your iCloud album. You can either invite more people to the photo album or change diverse settings.
Turn on Public Website to create a link for your iCloud album.
After a few second this option will be extended with the button “Share Link“. By clicking this button you will be able to conveniently share your iCloud photo album – for example via Mail, iMessage or WhatsApp.
Display public iCloud photo album
Everyone, who has the link, can call the public photo album on every device via this link. It’s not necessary to have an iCloud account either.
If you click on a photo, you have three options: You can start a slide show, load the photo in original resolution and display the photo in full-screen.
