Required: iOS 10 or more recent iOS version
To use Siri to send WhatsApp messages, you have to make sure, that you have installed iOS 10 and the latest version of WhatsApp. You can upgrade your iPhone to iOS 10 in your “Settings” under the section “General” → “Software update”. After doing this upgrade, go to your “App Store”, tap on “Updates”. Have a look, if there is a new version available. You should install the newest version now, if you haven’t done so yet.
Activate Siri for WhatsApp
In addition you have to allow WhatsApp to use “Siri”. You can do this in your “Settings”. Choose “Siri & Search” and scroll down in the list until you reach “WhatsApp”.
Now tap “WhatsApp” and activate the toggles next to “Search & Siri Suggenstions” and “Use with Siri” so you activate Siri commands for WhatsApp and can use Siri WhatsApp commands.
Sending WhatsApp messages with Siri
Siri will guide you step-by-step through the procedure of sending a WhatsApp message to one of your contacts. After telling Siri, that you want to send a WhatsApp message, Siri will ask you who you want to send a message to. Then she will ask you, what you want to tell the certain person. Afterwards Siri will verify the message and to finally send the message, you have to tap on the “Send” button or loudly say “Send”.
